Managed by the National Geospatial Program (NGP), The National Map Viewer provides visualization and download of all eight primary themes of The National Map data sets to include US Topo and historical topographic map products.

The viewer platform is extended upon the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's (NGA) Palanterra x3 Viewer.

Services List - Service Endpoints used in The National Map Viewer

NGP is retiring The National Map Seamless Server Viewer by the end of July 2012. Access to the Seamless Viewer will redirect to The National Map Viewer and Download Platform page for up to 90 days before permanently redirecting to The National Map Viewer.

The National Map Viewer offers similar capabilities for service access and data download previously available with the Seamless Viewer. Retirement of the Seamless Viewer culminates efforts by NGP to transition multiple viewers into just one viewer to create a one-stop location for visualization and delivery of its public domain vector and raster data. To download data with The National Map Viewer: 1) Zoom to your area of interest; 2) Click the Download tool on the right side of the title bar; 3) Choose a reference area polygon; 4) Select available data products; 5) Add selected products to the Cart; and 6) Checkout.

Below, please find mashup examples of how The National Map Services and other Science, National, Local, or Emergency services can be used to create online maps in The National Map Viewer or using other viewers.

The first three featured mashups are the top recognized mashup submissions that were part of The National Map User Conference (2011) Mashathon event as recognized by their peers.
